Why it costs what it costs
Re-reading 470,000+ ingredient lists every week and comparing each one to last week's is not something a person can do — not in an afternoon, not at any price. That is the whole job, and it runs whether or not you think about it.
What we don't do is laboratory testing. We verify documents — labels, manufacturer statements, certification registries — and we date every one. If you want products physically tested for gluten, Gluten Free Watchdog does exactly that, and it's worth the subscription. Plenty of people carry both.
